Consultations are by appointment only.  ALAS does not accept walk-in clients.  To make an appointment, please call our voice message service at (416) 367-ALAS or email us at info@alasontario.com.

The best time to call is during our shift hours (Tuesday and Thursday evenings between 6pm and 8pm).

If no one answers, leave a message that includes your name, phone number, and a brief description of your legal problem.  Please note that calls are generally returned during shift hours, so leave a number that you can be reached at in the evening.  One of our volunteers will call you back to arrange an appointment with an ALAS lawyer. If you are calling from outside the Toronto area, your call will be returned by collect call.

In order to book an appointment with ALAS, you will need to provide your name, address, phone number, email address and date of birth for Legal Aid Ontario reporting purposes.  In addition, you will be asked if a law student can sit in to observe your consultation, which is within your right to decline.  All volunteers at ALAS sign confidentiality agreements.
